long time gone

If it is possible to miss library school, I am there. Though work and school was time consuming the post-work day discussions face-to-face and online about library issues somehow inspired and sustained me. I felt in the loop. I became all too familiar with those databases I knew I would no longer have access to as soon as I graduated. This must be the sign, the diagnoses of a true reference librarian. Who else in the world mourns his or her access to full-text databases?
A pic from my recent road trip through Chicago and Racine. Love Chicago. I am not sure I could ever navigate the bumper to bumper traffic everyday on the the way to work but I know in life it all balances out. Racine and the surrounding areas are so beautiful.
