Tab Benoit is going to play at the upcoming Greater Ozarks Blues Festival! There are so many fantastic musicians scheduled this year. Some of the best cds that I get at the library are the ones that I choose sort of randomly. In this case I just wanted a blues group I hadn't heard before. This was easy since I don't have a wide listening history with blues. I ended up with one of this band's older cds but let's just say it is probably overdue because I just keep on playing it. It was total luck they are coming to the fest this fall. I'm still holding out for the Mountain Goats or the Be Good Tanyas but it looks like they just stick to the west coast.
They have a great lineup this year. It's hard to top the last few years, but this one is equal to the quality they've been putting out. Shemekia Copeland is fantastic.
